Christian Koschlak Memorial Climbing Path

Christian Koschlak has been active in many different areas. For 20 years he was chairman of the mountain rescue Bad Eisenkappel and lead coordinator of the via ferrata and climbing garden projects in Bad Eisenkappel. He worked as the head of the office of the market town of Eisenkappel-Vellach and for several years as a mountain hiking guide for the cross-border Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark. Unfortunately, his life ended much too early. 

Christian Koschlak Gedenkklettersteig is a via ferrata that has steep rocky sections. Over a rope bridge, beams, rock bands and also partly easy terrain, through a small cave traverses the via ferrata in the Trobefelsen massif to the Türkenschanze. The access is directly at the parking lot, the descent is via a hiking trail.
