Time path Petzen Mountain & Marble run

Embark on a journey through time! 

Our Earth was formed 4.6 billion years ago. We actually start our journey through time around 500 million years ago (the pannel behind the chapel). You will walk through this period on the next 280-metres long path. Each time you will move for 50 cm, you will travel 1 million years in the geological time. You will find out interesting events from the history of the Earth and the Geopark Karawanken-Karavanke. On the journey you will be accompanied by Franz and Marica - they are mascots of the Geopark. Franz lives in Globasnitz and Marica comes from Črna na Koroškem.

Pick up a geo-riddle sheet in the GEO.DOM and set off on a time-trip! On each pannel there is a question and you will choose the correct answer from 3 possible answers on your geo-riddle sheet. Write the letter of the correct answer in the box below. Important: there are 16 letters to find. When you guess the solution word, you will get a surprise in the GEO.DOM. :)
