The Karawanken Trail is our trail. Its 13 stages show us ever new faces of this impressive landscape. As if on a journey through time, we find traces of glaciers and transformations through millions of years, of people and their work, of large and small animals and plants. The views and insights we get here touch us: colors and shapes, mountains and valleys, stone and iron, forests and meadows - everything tells us what life has always been like here. History and stories in this region are infinitely varied. Legends and fairy tales entwine around mysterious places that even today seem as if time has stood still. We move along borders - on continental plates between Africa and Europe, on trails between Austria and Slovenia. On the Karawanken-Karavanke Trail.
