Offers for schools and kindergartens spring, summer & autumn 2024

Guided tour through the Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark visitor center, the Geo.Dom on the Petzen Mountain, combined with a guided hike. In addition to a very innovative and interactive presentation of the Geopark Karawanken-Karavanke, the Geo.Dom currently offers a special exhibition on the famous petrified forest from the Lesvos UNESCO Global Geopark. With the help of this exhibition our Greek colleagues explain climate change. This exhibition was present as a mobile exhibition in several German cities last year and received enormous public attention. This special exhibition as well as the content of the Geo.Dom are especially aimed for schools. For the coming months we have therefore prepared a special packages for schools which will be offered in the following three variants:

Package 1 "The Petrified Forest":

• Gondola ride
• Guided tour through the visitor centre Geo.Dom with the special exhibition "The Petrified Forest"

Package 2 " "Journey into the past of the Karavanke":

• Gondola ride
• Guided hike

Package 3 "From the petrified forest on a journey into the past of the Karavanke including culinary delights on the mountain":

• Snack in the panorama restaurant „oben“.
