Rural communities searching for innovative heritage-led solutions are invited to join the RURITAGE project
15.02.2019 – Rural communities searching for innovative heritage-led solutions are invited to join the RURITAGE project
RURITAGE is a European project aiming to demonstrate the potential of local heritage as a catalyst for the economic competitiveness and sustainable and inclusive growth of rural areas. Rural communities are invited to join the project as Replicators to pursue the development of their heritage-led regeneration strategies.
RURITAGE brings together 19 rural communities: 13 ‘Role Models’ that share best practices on heritage-led regeneration and six ‘Replicators’ that will develop new strategies for enhancing their cultural and natural heritage. With the support of RURITAGE experts, the Role Models will mentor the Replicators in the development and implementation of innovative heritage-led solutions.
The call of interest invites up to nine rural communities to join RURITAGE as additional Replicators. The additional Replicators will have a unique opportunity to learn from the project Role Models, Replicators and knowledge experts as well as to participate in relevant project meetings. They will also have access to a wide range of tools and knowledge to develop heritage-led regeneration plans adapted to their territories. Furthermore, the wide promotion of the RURITAGE Replicators will increase the visibility of their rural areas worldwide.
The call of interest is open to rural communities from EU Member States and the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) countries.
Detailed information about the RURITAGE call for additional Replicators can be found here. The deadline for the applications is 31 March 2019.
RURITAGE has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 776465.
