Closing Event of the Geopark Annual Topic 2025/2026 - “Feel Nature and Protect Its Heart”

On 28 May 2026, the 2nd part of the educational workshop in the framework of the Geopark annual topic “Feel Nature and Protect Its ” took place in Kotlje.
Participants enjoyed a diverse programme, including the performance “Žabica je rešena”, a guided tours along the educational trail in Kotlje, a visit to the Prežihova Bajta House, and a tour of the Roman Spring (Rimski vrelec).
The Karawanken-Karavanke Geopark would like to sincerely thank all partners, hosts and participants for their successful cooperation. Special thanks go to the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation, Podzemlje Pece, Kotlje Primary School, and Koroški Jeklarji Primary School for their valuable support in organising and implementing this year's annual topic.
The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to experience natural and cultural heritage first-hand and to gain new ideas and inspiration for educational work.
