In the last few days, several events took place on both sides of the border in the cross-border Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark as part of the GEOfestival and the European Geoparks Week:

• a closing event of the Geopark annual topic 2022/2023 "NEOPHYTE - friend or foe?"
• hike and family reunion at volcanic Smrekovec
• Study tour of the Slovenian Institute for Nature Conservation to the Geopark
• Geopark run in Lavamünd
• Lily of the Valley Festival in Kotlje
• Visit to the wetlands in the Geopark with the Leadpartner (University of Padua) in the frame of the I-SWAMP project
