As part of the European project EMPATHS (Erasmus+), an ideas workshop dedicated to the participatory interpretation of natural and cultural heritage took place in the Karawanken Geopark. Together with members of the local community and students from Mežica Primary School, we explored our rich cross-border region. Exploring the Pece Underground (Podzemlje Pece) alongside the pupils offered us a fresh perspective on our local heritage through their unique insights. Our journey and workshops also took us to Mount St. Hema (Hemmaberg), the Ravne na Koroškem Library, and Mount Peca (Petzen), where we concluded the week by designing and presenting new ideas for interpreting our area.
