Distinguished visit from the EU Parliament in the Karawanken-Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark - Members of the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder (A) and Matjaž Nemec (SLO), were impressed by the European success story of the cross-border geopark, which is considered as a role model example of cross-border development for both Austria and Slovenia. Both parliamentarians thoroughly familiarized themselves with the geopark’s activities and expressed their full support for future initiatives related to bilateral disaster protection and mobility.
