Last week, as part of the regular four-year evaluation for the status of a UNESCO Global Geopark, we were visited by Mr. Jack Matthews and Mr. Ángel Hernández Sesé.
The purpose of their visit was to review the work of the Karawanken Geopark over the past four years and to assess progress in the areas of geo- and biodiversity, cultural heritage, sustainable development, and cooperation with the local population. The results of the evaluation are expected in the autumn.
At this point, we would like to express our sincere thanks to both evaluators for their professional approach, the pleasant cooperation, and their valuable feedback.
